Ash & Eric featured in “American Songwriter” Sept/Oct issue

After calling every bookstore in Worcester, the Worcester Public Library came through and delivered this beautiful issue of American Songwriter to us today. Why did we work so hard to get our hands on it? BECAUSE WE ARE IN IT!!! ACROSS FROM DOLLY PARTON!!!

Thank you so much to American Songwriter & Lee Zimmerman for this really beautiful review of "Sure". We are floored.

From the SEPT/OCT 2022 issue of American Songwriter, written by Lee Zimmerman (p.70):

"Dominated by hushed harmonies and a low-lit vibe, Ash & Eric are personally and professionally bound by tender emotion and the assurance that for all its challenges, the world is inevitably a beautiful place where hope reigns supreme. Granted, their new album, decidedly titled 'Sure', requires one to lean in and listen, given its subtle shadings and tender acoustic trappings. Songs such as 'Until My Heart Grows Quiet' and 'In My Head' are among the more precious entries, but no more so than the moniker under which they released their first two albums, The Promise is Hope. Cynics are advised to put their prejudices aside and simply embrace the comfort and clarity that the duo share on songs such as 'Church of the Concrete Wave,' 'Autumn Hymn,' 'Never Walking Out,' and, of course, the title track. Those in further doubt need only consider the shout-out to the heroes, 'Simon, Taylor, Denver, Cash' as far as precedent. A lilting lullaby of an album, 'Sure' is the ideal anecdote for the noise and negativity of these tempestuous times."
